Before starting this assignment students learned about different types of line and their uses through completing drawing exercises in class. Now they get to practice what they learned by using low end animation techniques (20 page flipbooks) to bring their own observational/imagined stories of a paper-bag to life. I hand out paper-bags to each student to use as a resource for inspiration and observation. When the project is complete each students book is shown in the drawing hallway at the University of Iowa. I am currently working to make the books into videos that can be posted online. Check back soon for updates.
